Here's Donald Rumsfield's take on the continuing troubles in Iraq:

"You've got to remember that if Washington, D.C., were the size of Baghdad, we would be having something like 215 murders a month," Rumsfeld said. "There's going to be violence in a big city."

You know, I don't know what to say. The obvious - asking how many DC cops are shot at from ambush with grenade launchers - has been asked across the internet all day. Rumsfield seems to be the administration's designated asshole.
