You could say the Rapture index is a Dow Jones Industrial Average of end time activity, but I think it would be better if you viewed it as prophetic speedometer. The higher the number, the faster we're moving towards the occurrence of pre-tribulation rapture.
We're at 168, right now - anything over 145 is "fasten your seatbelts" time.
I have to add: nice to know that "Liberalism" is one of the signs of the end times. And that bringing down Trent Lott is cited as a specific sign of the times.
