I can't help it - I have to make fun of Jeff Jacoby. (Inspired by World O' Crap's roundup of Town Hall reactions to David Kay.)

Our man Jeff concludes:

But above all because of 9/11.  What that day's attacks made clear is that we will not have peace until the fascism that grips so much of the Arab Muslim world is confronted, crushed, and transformed into something more decent

One wonders, by "more decent", if he doesn't mean, fascists who take our side, a la Iraq vintage 1988.

The fact that I can think of more cynical responses - by "decent" he means "dead" - doesn't comfort me...
